Meet the 2017/2018 Chamber President, Jennifer Harrison...

The Chamber is pleased to introduce the 2017/2018 Chair of the Board, Jennifer Harrison. Jennifer has been in the El Segundo hospitality market for several years and is now heading up the Cambria LAX team as Director of Sales & Marketing. Jennifer has been a passionate sales executive for more than 20 years, during which time she has worked for some of the best brands in hospitality industry from Marriott, Starwood, IHG as well as Las Vegas hotels.

As tremendous growth is occurring in the hospitality industry in the LA area, the Chamber formed the Hospitality & Tourism Committee with the mission to promote tourism to El Segundo hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions as well as to raise awareness of business and community events that enhance the economic vitality of our community. Jennifer not only helped to develop this mission but also brought her colleagues together to form a very impactful committee. Recognized with the El Segundo Chamber in 2016 as "Volunteer of the Year", Jennifer has served on the Chamber's Executive Committee as well as worked on many Chamber events. Jennifer holds a BS in International Business/Economics from Arizona State University. We are pleased to welcome Jennifer to the helm!

Our History

The year was 1911. President William H. Taft was in the White House. Congress was considering a proposal to impose taxes on personal income. Air conditioning and the Kleig lamp had just been invented. And the demand for crude was increasing to fuel the nation’s industrial growth. And in the middle of Rancho Sausal Redondo, a rancho with a land mass of nearly 25,000 acres which consisted of wheat and barley fields on which cattle and sheep grazed...
