El Segundo "GUNDO To Go" Restaurant Initiative Launched
Community Over Competition - Spirit of Cooperation and Collaboration
COVID-19 RESOURCES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
As the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread across the globe, El Segundo restaurants experienced swift and devastating changes to the amount of customers in their dining rooms. As a small community of people who care for one another deeply, El Segundo's restaurant owners and operators came together along with the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce and staff members from the City of El Segundo. This proactive group strategized how they could support one another, stay in business, keep staff employed and provide fresh food to the El Segundo Community.
In the spirit of cooperation and collaboration, Gundo To Go was born and the community quickly galvanized. The concept is an easy-to-access curbside pick-up program for to-go orders featuring easily identifiable dedicated parking spaces. The El Segundo Police Department distributed signs and cones for designated parking within 48 hours, social media was launched and a movement began.
Gundo To Go is a partnership between the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce and the El Segundo restaurant community, with support from the City of El Segundo.
CORONAVIRUS 2019 (COVID-19) RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYERS AND WORKERS

Help R6 Make Hand Santizer For Local Fire, Medical & Police
In the coming weeks, we at R6 DISTILLERY in El Segundo will be focusing our efforts on providing hand sanitizers in bulk to the medical community, high risk populations, and those on the front lines in this war against COVID-19.

extreme shortages. It is our goal to

in need free of charge. If you are in a
position to help support our efforts,
your donation will go toward paying
our team / keeping our lights on and
purchasing the necessary supplies to
keep up with demand.
Please click the link below to donate.
On behalf of everyone at R6 Distillery, we thank you for your support since we opened in 2014 and especially in the last few weeks, since we have been forced to close our tasting room to the public.
We want everyone to be safe and healthy during this very difficult and uncertain time, and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to help our community and look forward to brighter days ahead.
With much appreciation,
The R6 Team

Government, Military & Education Affairs Committee Update - Fight for Prop 13
The El Segundo Chamber's Government Affairs
Committee takes position to sign on to the Fight for Prop 13 Coalition.
For more than 40 years, Prop 13 has provided property tax certainty to homeowners, renters and businesses. Under Prop 13, general property taxes for both residential and business properties are calculated based on 1% of the purchase price. Annual increases in property valuations are capped at 2% per year, which helps provide certainty to homeowners and businesses that they will be able to afford their property in the future.
Prop 13 also benefits renters, small businesses and all Californians by preventing skyrocketing increases in property taxes that get passed along to tenants and consumers in the form of higher rent and higher costs for goods and services.
